HESTIA Pilot – Voorhout village

Voorhout is one of the three pilot projects in the HESTIA Horizon 2020 project - of which Sinloc is leader partner. In the town of Voorhout, in the Netherlands, the demand and response system HESTIA, which enables a more efficient use of energy, has been installed in 46 residential units. Thanks to this implementation, the HESTIA system is able to directly perform energy flexibility actions through the control of electrical load and charging processes and discharge of storage batteries residential. In addition to residential batteries, a common battery optimized for grid balancing is being tested in the pilot.
