Feasibility study to verify the possibility of transforming the "Galvani Management Centre" into a University Centre. The activities carried out mainly concerned: the characterization of the spaces available to evaluate the functions that can be installed, the verification of sustainability profiles, the activated management models and financing options and finally the assessment of the impact that the intervention would have on the community.

Requirements

The municipality of Pordenone, in collaboration between institutions such as Region, City, University and the University Consortium, intended to redevelop the Galvani Management Center of Pordenone (called Bronx), designed by architect Gino Valle in the 70s, Transforming it from a derelict area to a modern and innovative university .

Features

The feasibility study focused on the characterization of available spaces to evaluate the functions (university classrooms, student halls, canteens and spaces for associations and communities), the verification of sustainability profiles, the development of actionable management models and financing options, and finally the assessment of the impacts generated on the community, in line with growing training and urban revitalization needs.

Results

In January 2024 the City of Pordenone acquired 5,000 square meters in the three floors that now house the Revenue Agency at the Galvani Management Center, which will be transformed into the new headquarters of the University of Pordenone, with teaching spaces and services available to a growing university.
